About me

Picture
I am Gareth the Storyteller. I bring stories alive for children and adults alike. I’ve told stories for organisations like Cathays High School, Rogerstone Primary School, Cardiff Libraries, Newport Mind, Cardiff University, Swansea University, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, and in countries all around the world.
I'm always on the lookout for interesting, funny, or thought-provoking stories and collect stories, both fiction and non-fiction, from everywhere I go. At the moment, I have stories in my repertoire from Wales, England, China, Vietnam, Poland, Portugal, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Japan, and Croatia.
These are some of my favourite stories.
The Devil's Bridge - Wales
The Cracked Pot - China
The Peddler of Swaffham - England (Tyddyn Cwtyn I Ci -Wales)
The Missing Axe - China
Robin Ddu and the Cockerel and the Cauldron  - Wales
The Monkeys and the Hatmaker - Mali
The Hazel Walking Stick - Wales
The Three Dolls - China

I have an MA in Creative Writing from Cardiff University and I am a member of the Society for Storytelling and the Society of Authors. As well as being a storyteller, I have many years experience working in English Language Teaching.

I am available to tell stories in schools, at children's parties, events and festivals. For more information, please contact me using the form below.
